Using a coupon I tried a new product last week, “Flat Earth Apple Cinnamon Grove” crisps.
The description on the back doesn’t do it justice: A blend on rice, potato and apple. These are baked fruit crisps, the also advertise 1/2 serving of real fruit in every ounce. I thought they were tasty and let two teenage girls try them. The healthy eater out of the two liked them the other child said too much fruit.
I will purchase them again.

Journalism is rubbish: new report
Goldsmith University Media Research Centre has just published initial results from a very extensive project which tells us that a) new media is not bringing nirvana and b) a lot of journalists think quality is declining. Perhaps they could have just re-published Nick Davies’ Flat Earth News. But this is a thoughtful research team and the report has a lot of good material in it. Please read it here. Stochastic scribble of the day: If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, and yet does not act like a swan at all, then it most probably is a duck, not a swan. (Substitute creationism, vitalism, flat earth, etc. for “it”, myth or fantasy for “duck”, and reality for “swan”.)
